About Trading Post Cabin

If you’re the kind of person who loves discovering places that feel welcoming the moment you arrive, let me introduce you to Trading Post Cabin Restaurant, a relaxed restaurant tucked away at 3270 Port Severn Rd in Severn, Ontario, that instantly gives off cozy, no-rush energy. Trading Post Cabin is one of those spots that feels equally right for a casual lunch, an easygoing dinner, or a laid-back stop after a long drive, and that versatility is a big part of its charm. The atmosphere leans warm and friendly, with a cabin-style feel that makes you want to settle in, while still keeping things simple and approachable. When the weather’s nice, outdoor seating adds another layer of comfort, and for days when you’re short on time, takeaway and delivery options make it easy to enjoy the food wherever you are. On-site service keeps things smooth for dine-in guests, and the menu itself is designed to please a wide range of tastes without trying too hard. There’s also coffee on hand for slower mornings or relaxed afternoons, along with spirits and happy-hour food that naturally invite you to stay a little longer. What really stands out is how inclusive the offerings feel, with vegan and vegetarian options thoughtfully worked in, so no one at the table feels limited. The overall experience is casual but confident, blending good food, flexible service, and a welcoming setting that suits both locals and travelers passing through Port Severn. Instead of feeling like a stopover, Trading Post Cabin quickly becomes a place people remember and look forward to revisiting, thanks to its easygoing personality, approachable menu, and comfortable restaurant vibe that never feels forced or overdone.

Impressive cafe! I had the strawberry cherry croissant, it was a large croissant with generous fruits filling and absolutely delicious. They also have a great variety of croissants, butter tarts, and scones. The smoked salmon cream cheese egg bagel was perfect, and the coffee was excellent too.

Coziest little coffee shop with an amazing selection of food, local goods, and cabin life decor. The cute "bunkhouse" full of merch and coffee mugs was too great a temptation! Staff was super friendly. The food was amazing and my matcha was delicious! Brough home some chocolate flavoured coffee beans and need more asap! Guess I'll need to visit again soon :D

Great little coffee stop just off the highway in Port Severn! The Trading Post Cabin Cafe has such a rustic, authentic cabin feel that makes it a cozy place to sit and enjoy a drink, or the perfect stop to grab a sweet bite for the road. The cute patio and attached Bunkie store add to the charm, giving it that cottage-country vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you’re passing through or looking for a relaxing pause on your travels.

This place is so much more than just a coffee shop! In addition to great coffee, it features a charming section with unique goodies, a small shed stocked with clothing and cute items, and both indoor seating and a spacious outdoor patio. The food options are impressive, especially the sandwiches, which offer plenty of variety, including many vegetarian choices. The pastries are delicious too, with a couple of pre-made gluten-free options. Everything we tried, from the coffee to the food, was truly tasty. Parking is a bit limited, but the steady flow of people coming and going makes it manageable, especially if you're grabbing a quick bite. The music and overall ambiance are relaxed and cozy, making it a great spot to hang out. I loved it so much I ended up coming back two days in a row for lunch. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

Shared a sandwich, bought 2 drinks and one “large” pizza and total was $60 something. Honestly for the experience i think it was pretty worth it. My friends and I are from Toronto heading up to Killbear and this was on the way, I’m glad I found it in google maps as I was looking for a tasty but cute cafe tk have our brunch! (: The staff was very friendly and their pizzas are so well made. The mango matcha was alright and it wasn’t the worst—but it was more mango than matcha hehe. Though my bf and I enjoyed their lavender drink My bf and I also shared the pulled pork sandwich~ it was enough to get your tummy full with the pizza. Their patio was open and we were glad we got a bit of sun when the whole weather for the week was gloomy. The area where this café was located was also very lovely. It is near the gas station where we first stopped before coming here. Definitely a worthy spot. Will come back again next time!(:
